Process

For my Substack, That Place You Love, I write micro-memoirs of singular events in
my life. During a writing prompt for a call for entries from an editor, I wrote a short essay
about my mother checking my head for lice. I rewrote it as a 750-word essay and submitted
it to literary journals.
