Process
I was contacted by Grace Koo, a producer, to consult her client, Patrick Boyd regarding turning his family story into a feature film. Over several months, we discussed the background of the exciting sports narrative plus Patrick’s personal stake as a character in the film. I was hired to create a narrative treatment and a breakdown for a line producer to create a top sheet budget. I was then contracted to write the screenplay. The process involves frequent interviews with Patrick and other key players in the story to ensure authenticity.
